Frequently Asked Questions
Does neurofeedback replace psychotherapy?
No. At Optimal Health RX, we provide NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback® as a complementary service, not a replacement for psychotherapy. Our goal is to support the work you're already doing by helping clients improve their brain's natural ability to self-regulate while they continue therapy with you.
Which clients are appropriate for referral?
You may consider referring clients experiencing anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, PTSD, chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, sleep disturbances, ADHD, or burnout. Neurofeedback may be especially beneficial for clients who could benefit from additional support alongside their existing treatment plan.
Will my client continue therapy with me?
Absolutely. Your therapeutic relationship remains central to your client's care. Neurofeedback is designed to work alongside psychotherapy, allowing your client to continue meeting with you while receiving sessions at Optimal Health RX.
How does Optimal Health RX collaborate with referring therapists?
With your client's written consent, we're happy to communicate with referring therapists to support continuity of care. We believe collaborative, whole-person care leads to better outcomes and are committed to working alongside you, not independently of you.
Can my clients use neurofeedback at home?
Yes. In addition to in-office sessions, Optimal Health RX offers home rental options for clients who may benefit from more consistent neurofeedback training. We'll help determine whether home training is appropriate based on your client's goals and circumstances.
